Innovator in mobile VoIP for Enterprise changes name, gets $7 million in funding…

Actually, it was the other way around. The funding of the series C was based on a business plan that the new name really steers hard for. The President and CEO, David Hattey said in the press release  that "SIP is everywhere," referring to the success of SIP as the call control protocol suite for IP PBX manufacturers, hosted service providers, VoIP operations, next generation carrier networks (IMS is based on SIP), and even the Voice over Instant Messaging (VoIM) players like AIM, MSN, Yahoo! and Google.
