Interactive Voice Response Gets Better?

As a frequent traveller on American Airlines, I have access to a special 1-800 number for Executive Platinum members, which asks me to articulate my Advantage #. This charming ladies' voice is efficient and (in her words), doesn't mind being interrupted.
About ten years ago, I thought the 'Meridian Mail Mary' had a wonderful voice, but then I calculated how much time I have spent listening to voicemail envelopes. In my young life, I have estimated that I have listened to over 11,000 minutes [that's 160 hours or eight straight days] of voice mail and Meridian Mary. Yuck.
