Participants in our research on Email and Business Applications were asked to describe their most valuable email and the cost to the business if that message had not arrived.


First I do not use email as my only method of communication.  If I was expecting an important email and did not get it within the time frame I expected it I would get on the phone to confirm it's status. I wouln't wait.
